This course will review the Medicare coverage guidelines for hospital and observation evaluation and management services. Effective January 1, 2023, the AMA CPT Editorial Panel approved revised coding and updated guidelines for “other” evaluation and management visits, including combining hospital inpatient and observation care services into one evaluation and management code family. This webinar will focus on the hospital inpatient and observation care evaluation and management code family.
